I love your voice,
your soft brown hair.
I love your eyes
and love your stare.

I love your laugh,
your cocky smirk,
your stupid jokes.
You precious jerk,

you know I do.
I want my hands
all through your hair
each treasured strand.

I’m wrapped around
your finger still.
Am I yet yours?
Your love does kill

the things I hold
so close to me
and yet you’re the
best jerk I see.

I agree.

I've read better poems, but this was very good. And don't call us children.

"Every song has a CODA, a final movement. Whether it fades out or crashes away. Every song ends. Is that any reason not to enjoy the music? The truth is, there is nothing to be afraid of. It's just life."

Wow, has nothing to do with Twilight but whatever. I thought this piece was actually pretty good. I like how the author described what they wanted to do. And since you're judging this piece so hard I doubt you could even write a worthy poem. So next time don't hate. Just write what you think is good. And p.s. to relate something back to Twilight, you must be really stupid. Or in love with somebody that has no clue that you exist.

It's a good poem.. It might not be deep but some thngs need to be shown to people as they are. Every poem someone takes time to write is a good poem... the right audience just needs to find it... if you dont like it its probably because its not meant for you. so leave it alone.

Okay, first off, I have no idea how old you are and you have no idea how old I am and we both have no idea what level of writing/reading poetry we are at. But still, this was good enough to be published in the magazine. If you're crying so hard for someone writing a 'terrible poem with an abab rhyme scheme', why don't you write a good poem and post it on here for us to read?

I agree with Bonianlethalxx2 - Good but its not amazing. Not something worth critizing so bad over. Don't listen to them, especially if its good enough to be published in the magazine.

now i think people are getting a tad crazy about this poem. ill admit its an easy poem to relate to for a lot of people but, it lacks real emotion and deepness. But i dont think the author was really trying to make this a really deep deep poem. its not the best poem ive ever seen, but its not total trash either.

You can say that I'm a talented writer, but all I can do is write down my feelings on paper and form them into sentences with my own personal flavor.

The reason that i like this poem is because every single person in the world can relate to a "precious jerk" that they used to like.

oKAY, look. How would you like to be criticized and have random people say your writing sucked? Even if it did, who are you to judge?

I really enjoyed this poem. Maybe, its because I can relate to it.

Who is to say what is good and what's bad poetry. It all depends on the person reading it.
