Individual
I wanted to reach the moon, so I jumped with ferity,
but gravity brought me down and I lost all dexerity.
I wanted to seize the stars, so I leapt with grace,
but I fell back down at a faster pace.
I wanted to float like the clouds, so I lay back my heavy head,
but the weight of my subconsious makes the clouds spread.
I wanted to fly like the birds, so I attempted to float,
but the fact that I'm human makes my wings inchoate.
So I'll remain the person I am meant to be,
I will be the one and only real me.
