Walk On
You were my savior.
I was your angel.
I had no wings, but you had courage, and immediately, we were entangled.
Hand in hand, we walked down a perfect path.
You had the softest glance.
I had the sweetest smile.
I held prior pain, but you found me worth your while.
You gave me your heart.
I kept mine hidden.
I had nothing to give, but you were still smitten.
Hand in hand, we walked down a windy road.
You gave me a chance.
I gave you a hero with no heroics.
I had little patience, but you allowed the conflicts.
Hand in hand, we walked down a rigged road.
You gave me your life.
I handed you an end.
I had no reason, but you still called me a friend.
Hand out of hand, we walked opposite, down broken roads.
You missed my touch.
I missed my chance.
I held on, but you let go, after our last glance.
Hand out of hand, we walk down separate roads, lonely and rigged.
You were my savior.
I was your angel.
I had no wings, but you had courage.
