Laughter
I do not wish to be a priority,
I just hope to be more than minority,
Somehow with the more words that I say,
The easier it is for you to push me away,
Your smile puts a smile on the whole world’s face,
I ran a thousand miles but I still lost the race,
Your voice is the one and only music to my ears,
Sometimes I don’t speak up because I’m choking on my fear,
The sparkle in your eyes has its own firework display,
I wonder, “Did the sparkle notice me today?”
Your laugh is more contagious than the common flu,
And if I wasn’t busy crying,
Then I’d be laughing too…
